April? What’s that?

April came to an end. Good. Don’t know why, maybe I just hate the way the word “April” sounds like, but I am actually glad that it came to an end. It’s been a so-so month for me.

First things first, we are still on track with our workshops having done a few more of them with different levels of success, but at least we are moving in the right direction. Learning, preparing, bringing events to life is no easy task and sometimes it takes it’s toll on our well-being. Can’t really say that the amount of work we do is enormous, but sometimes you are just lost in what exactly you have to do and how to do it. Just feels like no matter what we do will end up being… not good, yes, that’s what I wanted to say.

Of all the things outside our volunteership, I have to say, that romanian medicine is not as bad as I thought it would be. Language barriers still do exist, but they are doing their best for you to feel as comfortable and well as humanly possible and I have utmost respect for them staying patient while I was trying to explain though them: Why am I here, who I am and what I need.

There could’ve been a lot more information in this blog, but it’s just been a pretty straight-forward month for us, so… yeah. Expect to hear more from us next month, this one should be interesting with a lot more stuff planned for the future!
